Karnataka says cannot release 4,000 cusecs Cauvery water to Tamil Nadu amid drought

Karnataka has sought a reduction to 3,000 cusecs, citing drinking water needs, crop requirements and low reservoir storage, and plans to seek legal advice on the CWRC directive.
