An interactive “Dune” experience is coming to Los Angeles in November ahead of the release of the trilogy’s third and final movie. The experience will be available for a limited time and promises to transport fans to the deserts of Arrakis with interactive exhibits. The exhibit is open to guests of all ages and will take around an hour to complete a full walkthrough.

Attendees will have opportunities to test themselves against the Bene Gesserit, discover hidden messages within ancient carvings, claim Paul Atreides’ throne and capture a photo with a colossal sandworm. Several other photo opportunities invite guests to sit on the Emperor’s throne, pose next to a towering Ornithopter aircraft and step inside sets designed to recreate iconic movie posters. In one centerpiece of the exhibit, guests will get to put their hand in “the box”, a test Paul goes through at the beginning of the first film. The test promises a shocking experience for those willing to participate.

Throughout the journey through the exhibit is a rare collection of original costumes, authentic props, weapons, vehicles and production artifacts spanning Denis Villeneuve’s Dune motion picture trilogy. The collection offers attendees a closer look at the craftsmanship and visual world-building taking place behind the films. Guests can also relax in a dining lounge complete with themed drinks and snacks.

“Dune: The Experience” is set to launch in November in support of the theatrical release of Denis Villeneuve’s “Dune: Part Three.” The film is set to premiere on Dec. 18. The event does not yet have a specific opening date or an end date, but it will tour to multiple cities across the country. It will be in Los Angeles at a location in downtown’s Arts District, located at 330 South Alameda St., at least through the end of December. Other stops on the tour will be announced in the coming months.

Tickets will go on sale Oct. 7 via the official “Dune: The Experience” website and range in price from $30-$45.
